ABOUT JOHN SEDA
Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico, John Seda, the president of Rising Sun Music, has always had a natural knack for creating music. He learned his first chords at a very early age from his mother. The passion this instilled in him kept him focused on music, and soon after, he began leading most of the bands in which he participated. As the leader of these groups, he developed his producing skills as he learned sound and experimented with different sound and production techniques. He stood out as a youth because of this difference, and he began playing guitar solos for bigger and better known groups. By the age of 15 he was playing among the best Latin Jazz players of his time.
In working with local artists, John has found every project to be a learning experience, both for himself and for the artist. He looks forward to this growing process with every new project. "Sometimes people come in and they have a unique talent, and sometimes they don't even know they have it," John says. It gives him the opportunity to help local artists open doors for themselves with their music. "You can make a plan, but it's not the plan that gets you there. It's your heart." John Seda says that determination is the most important in any venture. With the right mindset and the willingness to improve, he believes that any artist can make the most of his or her music. "People have forgotten to do the most important thing, which is to get together and play.
ABOUT SACHIKO SEDA
Sachiko Seda was born in Tokyo in1955. She lived most of her life in Tokyo until she married John Seda who is a Musician. After graduating from Art collage in Tokyo. Her first Job was as an interior designer. Then She worked for Apparel Company in Sales and promotion for 8yers. From there she moved to Itochu Fashion System, The Largest consulting company in Japan. One of their client was Mastuzaki Ltd, Co. responsible for finding direction for new product brands for the company 16yers.
On the side she was also a University lecturer in Display design for 5yers. Her last work which started in 1998 producing and coordinating for the Mastuzaki company house brand "Isaburo1889" That division currently has a shop in Omotesando, a big fashion area in Tokyo such as Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. From the start of her career in fashion she took business trips to Paris, Milan, London and New York several times a year for over 25yers. In 1999 Sachiko she married John Seda, Since 2003 she has concentrated on working as Marketing Director of Rising Sun Music.
ABOUT HELLMUT WOLF
The Wolfman is an extraordinary artist whose career spans over four decades and four continents. He started as flute player and then quickly picked up the Saxophone as second instrument back in his hometown Koblenz in Germany. He played with a variety of bands over the years and everything from small pubs to major stadium arenas. The Wolfman released a variety of albums and singles, all self produced. His style is omnipotent ranging all the way from new Age to Rock to Funk, to Reggae and Trance/ Dance. His latest album "Snow and Heat" was done in co - production with Pavel Stepanovski, a world class producer from St Petersburg.
The Wolfman is a prolific producer and songwriter, currently involved with Lolita Sweets new album and Jeff Silverman. Now part of the Teach your Dream producers family, he is contributing to the project by introducing internationally renowned artists.
ABOUT JOHN BLACKWELL
John Blackwell Jr., the sound, funk and fury behind Prince and the New Power Generation is a spectacle for the eyes and ears. Blackwell's slamming tight grooves, popping snare and furiously flamboyant drumstick twirling and cross-arm strokes must be seen to be believed.
Blackwell, born in Columbia South Carolina, was raised in a very musical family. John's father, John Sr., was a very well known professional drummer who performed with acts like The Drifters, The Spinners and Mary Wells.
John Jr. got his first drumset at age 3 and was brought to many concerts that came through South Carolina by his father. While in high school, John was playing in the High School Jazz and Marching Band while performing every weekend with the R&B/Jazz/Fusion group, Robert Newton & Lotusfete as well as with Billy Eckstine. In 1992 John chose to further pursue his drum studies by enrolling into Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. John kept himself extremely busy and created a strong buzz about him while performing as much as possible with many Jazz and R&B artists around Boston. John was also teaching students and performing drum clinics during his time away from college.
John left Berklee in 1995 and landed the gig with legendary funk group Cameo who he played with for the next 3 years. In 1998 after his time with Cameo, John packed up and moved to Los Angeles, California. Blackwell was in LA for only 3 days when he landed the drum position for the legendary R&B Diva, Patti LaBelle. During this time John recorded for LaBelle's Grammy Award winning CD, DVD and VHS, "Patti LaBelle-Live One Night Only". 2006 & 2007: On Tour with Justin Timberlake...
